Community Works & Nightlife

Community Works in Nightlife traces the return of queer nightlife in the years after 2020 (& ongoing), capturing both its fragility and its brilliance. Shot across mediums—35mm film, medium format, digital mirrorless, and Polaroids—the series experiments with double exposures, film leaks, and shifting light to reflect the textures of nightlife in motion. Alongside the play of light and sound, the work also preserves community, showing how lineage and gathering continue to shape our sense of belonging. Together, these images celebrate not only the resurgence of nightlife, but the enduring power of queer communion and history.
